Piecaken combines pumpkin pie, cinnamon cheesecake, and spice cake for a festive dessert perfect for Thanksgiving.

Ingredients
  

For the Cake Base

  • 1 box spice cake mix Prepared according to package instructions.
  • 3 large eggs For mixing into the cake batter.
  • 1 cup milk Adds moisture to the batter.
  • 1 tablespoon butter For greasing the cake pan.

For the Layers

  • 1 pumpkin pie pumpkin pie Must be fully set before assembly.
  • 1 cinnamon cheesecake cinnamon cheesecake Must be fully set before assembly.

For the Flavoring

  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a cake pan.
  • Prepare the spice cake mix according to package instructions, adding in the eggs and milk.

Layering

  • Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared pan.
  • Carefully place the pumpkin pie on top of the cake batter.
  • Spread the cinnamon cheesecake layer over the pumpkin pie.
  • Pour the remaining cake batter over the cheesecake layer.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let it cool before serving.

Notes

Serve the Piecaken with a dollop of whipped cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days or freeze slices for up to 2 months.
