  • 3 pieces eggs Provides richness to the souffle.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Enhances flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt Balances the sweetness.
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon Adds warmth and flavor.
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg Optional spice for flavor.
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows (optional) For added sweetness.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the mashed sweet potatoes and sugar, mixing them well.
  • Add in the milk, softened butter, eggs, vanilla extract, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Blend everything until it is smooth and well combined.
  • If you want to add marshmallows, fold them into the mixture now.
  • Pour the sweet potato mixture into a greased baking dish.

Baking

  • Bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until it is set and lightly browned on top.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve as a side dish during holiday meals. Pairs well with turkey, ham, or grilled chicken. Sprinkle additional marshmallows on top and broil for an extra sweet touch. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze before baking for up to 2 months.
