  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 piece banana, sliced Add just before serving to prevent browning
  • 2 tablespoons honey (optional) Drizzle over the fruit for added sweetness
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Preparation

  • Wash all the fruits thoroughly.
  • Dice the peaches and slice the strawberries and banana.
  • In a large bowl, combine the diced peaches, sliced strawberries, blueberries, and banana.
  • If desired, drizzle honey over the fruit for added sweetness.
  • Add lemon juice to the fruit and mix gently to combine all the ingredients.
  • Let the salad sit for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
  • Serve in bowls or a large serving dish and garnish with fresh mint leaves if using.

Notes

To store any leftover salad, place it in an airtight container and keep it in the refrigerator. It’s best consumed within one to two days for optimal freshness. The fruit may become mushy as it sits, especially the bananas. Feel free to experiment with other summer fruits like watermelon, mango, or kiwi. For added crunch, consider adding chopped nuts like almonds or walnuts.
