Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 large potatoes, diced
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1/2 cup special sauce (e.g., mayo, ketchup, mustard)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Optional Toppings

  • pickles
  • onions
  • lettuce
  • tomatoes

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a skillet, cook the diced potatoes over medium heat until crispy and golden brown. Season with salt and pepper.
  • In another skillet, cook the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula, until fully cooked. Season with salt and pepper.

Assembly

  • Once the beef is cooked, layer it over the crispy potatoes in serving bowls.
  • Top with shredded cheese, allowing it to melt slightly.
  • Drizzle with special sauce and add any optional toppings you desire. Serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, add some spices to the ground beef, like garlic powder or onion powder. Try using sweet potatoes instead of regular potatoes for a unique twist. Make sure to not overcrowd the skillet when cooking the potatoes, as this helps them get crispy. If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 to 3 days. To reheat, warm in the microwave or stovetop until heated through.
