For the Sliders

  • 1 lb Roast beef Use quality roast beef for the best flavor.
  • 16 pieces Slider buns Can substitute with hoagie rolls or baguettes.
  • 2 cups Caramelized onions Can be prepared ahead of time.
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese Can substitute with provolone or mozzarella.
  • 2 cups Beef broth Keep warm for the best dipping experience.
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard Drizzle on the sliders.
  • 1 tsp Salt To season the broth.
  • 1 tsp Pepper To season the broth.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Slice the slider buns in half and place the bottom halves in a baking dish.
  • Layer roast beef on top of the buns and add caramelized onions, Swiss cheese, and a drizzle of Dijon mustard.
  • Place the top halves of the buns on the sliders.

Cooking

  • In a small saucepan, heat beef broth and season with salt and pepper.
  • Pour the hot broth over the assembled sliders.
  • Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 15-20 minutes.
  • Remove foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and buns are golden.

Serving

  • Serve warm with extra broth on the side for dipping.

Notes

You can make these sliders ahead of time. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave before serving. For a healthier option, use lean turkey or chicken, and for gluten-free, use gluten-free buns.
