Ingredients
  

For the sushi base

  • 2 cups sushi rice Rinsed until water runs clear
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons furikake seasoning

Toppings

  • 1 cup imitation crab, shredded
  • 1 cucumber, sliced
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • Cream cheese (optional, for creaminess) Let sit at room temperature before use
  • Soy sauce For serving

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  • In a pot, combine the sushi rice and water, and cook until the rice is tender.
  • Once the rice is cooked, mix in the furikake seasoning and let it cool slightly.
  • In a baking dish, spread a layer of the seasoned rice at the bottom.
  • Evenly distribute the shredded imitation crab over the rice.
  • Optional: dot the cream cheese over the top for added creaminess.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes until heated through.
  • Remove from the oven and top with sliced cucumber and avocado.
  • Serve warm with soy sauce on the side.

Notes

This dish is best served warm, and you can add sides like a simple salad or miso soup for a complete meal. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
