Preparation

  • Place the diced potatoes, onion, garlic, and broth in the slow cooker.

Cooking

  • Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until the potatoes are tender.
  • Use a potato masher to mash some of the potatoes, leaving some chunks for texture.
  • Stir in the milk or cream, and season with salt and pepper.

Serving

  • Serve warm with optional toppings.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding herbs like thyme or rosemary. You can also include carrots or celery for more nutrition. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 2-3 months.
