  • 6 cups Fresh peaches, peeled and sliced Use ripe, juicy peaches for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup Sugar Adjust based on how sweet your peaches are.
  • 1/2 cup Butter, melted
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour For a thicker cobbler, add a little more.
  • 1 tbsp Baking powder
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 2 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon Try adding nutmeg for extra flavor.
  • 1/4 tsp Salt

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Peel and slice fresh peaches, then place them in a bowl and mix with sugar and cinnamon.
  • In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and the remaining sugar.
  • Stir in milk and melted butter until just combined.

Baking

  • Pour the peach mixture into a baking dish, then pour the batter over the top.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.

Serving

  • Serve warm, optionally with ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

If you have leftovers, let the cobbler cool completely. Store it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to four days. Frozen cobbler can last for up to three months. Reheat it in the oven or microwave when you’re ready to enjoy it again.
