Cookie Dough Ingredients

  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened Make sure it's at room temperature for easy mixing.
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened Ensure it's at room temperature.
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour Can be substituted with gluten-free flour.
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Feel free to adjust based on preference.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth.
  • Add the sugar and vanilla extract, and mix well.
  • Beat in the egg until fully combined.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.

Notes

Serve cookies warm or at room temperature with a glass of milk or coffee. Optionally sprinkle with powdered sugar or serve with whipped cream. Store in an airtight container for up to a week. They can also be frozen for up to three months.
