  • 500 grams Chicken Cut into pieces
  • 2 large Onions (Sliced)
  • 2 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 2 tsp Red chilli powder Adjust to taste
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Coriander powder
  • Black pepper To taste
  • 1/4 tsp Garam masala powder
  • 2 tbsp Coconut oil For cooking
  • Curry leaves For garnishing
  • Coconut oil For frying onions
  • Salt To taste

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Deep fry the sliced onions in coconut oil until they turn golden brown. Be careful not to burn them.
  • In a bowl, marinate the chicken with ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, black pepper, garam masala powder, and salt.
  • Once the onions are fried, mix them into the marinated chicken.

Cooking

  • Cook the mixture on medium flame, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is thoroughly cooked and the gravy reduces and becomes dry.

Notes

Serve Chicken Chukka hot, garnished with fresh curry leaves. It pairs well with steamed rice, roti, or naan. For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lemon juice before serving. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
