  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour Consider using bread flour for extra chewiness
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips Can use milk, dark, or white chocolate chips

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until it turns brown and smells nutty. Let it cool slightly.
  • In a large bowl, combine the browned butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until well mixed.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Drop large spoonfuls of dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper.

Baking

  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Let cool before serving.

Notes

Serve warm for the best experience. These cookies pair wonderfully with a glass of milk or vanilla ice cream. To keep your cookies fresh, store them in an airtight container at room temperature. They can also be refrigerated or frozen for longer shelf life. For extra flavor, add a touch of sea salt on top right before baking.
