Ingredients
  

For the filling

  • 1 pound ground beef Use lean ground beef for less grease.
  • 1 can (8 ounces) crescent roll dough Follow package instructions for best results.
  • 1/4 cup ketchup Add more to serve as a dip if desired.
  • 1 tablespoon mustard Can substitute with yellow or Dijon mustard.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Feel free to use other cheese varieties.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust based on personal preference.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven according to the crescent roll package instructions.
  • In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Stir in ketchup, mustard, salt, and pepper, and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  • On a baking sheet, unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles.
  • Place a spoonful of the beef mixture on each triangle and top with shredded cheese.
  • Roll up each triangle, starting from the wide end and sealing them.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

Serve warm with additional ketchup or mustard. Add finely chopped onions or pickles to the beef for extra flavor. Ensure edges of the dough are sealed well. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days, and reheat before serving. Can be made vegetarian with meat substitutes or beans. Serve with fries, salad, or coleslaw for a full meal.
